These were hands down the worst bakery items of food we have ever placed to our lips.

These disgusting bakery items became expensive bird food for the waterfowl and ducks by the riverside, but even the hungry birds refused to eat the vanilla slice - funny about that!

We took one bite from each item to find the pie and pastie were not only cold, but fatty and flavourless. The vanilla slice was at least 3 days old judging by the leathery pastry - it was inedible. The apple cake was 95% pastry and icing with about a teaspoon of imitation apple filling.

We ending up eating a 6 pack of Coles cinnamon donuts for lunch which cost a mere $2. An unhealthy choice but at least they were flavoursome and edible.

We bought a potato top pie, pastie, vanilla slice and an apple cake at a cost of $17.60 - not cheap!
