A really good walk where the Murray and Darling meet with educational signs along the way.

I love this place, but then I grew up in Wentworth so this is home. I love rivers! The interesting thing is when the rivers join up you can still see the different colours of the individual Murray and Darling. Its easier to see from above. But anyway the junction is a pretty spot.

What an amazing place. Two well known & largest Australian Rivers merge together. The Darling & The Murray Rivers. The Wentworth River Junction Park is a tranquil place.Lots of birdlife amongst the red gum trees. The birds whistling & the water lashing softly against the banks are very soothing. We climbed the stairs up the viewing tower to see the swirls where the waters meet called confluence.Prime Minister Bob Hawke & his then lovely wife Hazel planted red gums with other government officials named greening Australia, some 1000000 (million) gums were planted.A very beautiful place to be.The Wentworth Council really take care of the area.
